internet connection lost

occasionally i loose my internet connection. I have
cable and am sharing internet through my computer. This
occurs all of a sudden and the only fix is to reset the
cable modem, then reset the computer. I dont know if
it's a problem with the ISP or if it's my computer timing
out. Anyone have a solution?

I have the same problem but with DSL.
I have 3 PCs running one stays connected for days the
other two disconnects often. Sometimes it's the nic card
driver or sometimes I just enable the connections. This
is driving me crazy. I suspect AOL software but can't
prove it.
