Hi Vickie
You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

Make sure your firewall is not blocking port 443.

Scroll down to My dialup settings keep changing from 'never dial' to
'always
dial' or vise versa
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive/answers2.htm
Go to Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet connections>Internet
Options>Connections>Settings>Advanced tab
In the "Advanced dial up" dialogue box, insure that the "Disconnect if
idle
for five minutes" box is not checked.
Click on Internet Options in Control Panel > go to the "Connections"
"tab" >
check > "Dial whenever a connection is not present" > Apply > OK out.
Close Control Panel.
See if that helps - if you leave your Internet connection running for
lengthy
periods, some Internet service providers (ISP's) drop connections if
there
is no activity on the account.

Power Management adjustments to stop connection loss:
Start>Settings> Control Panel>Network and Dial-up Connections>Local Area
Connection>Properties>Configure>Power Management tab>uncheck "Allow the
computer to turn off this device to save power.".
Hope this helps.

How to make a good newsgroup post:
http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm
After surffing the web for 5 min, the internet will suddenly
disconnect.
I
have run various anti-spyware and malware programs, and did a virus
check,
all from cd, as the connection is lost before I can even load one of
the
programs from the web. I have changed the network card, (usb),
changed
ports, installed a dial-up, and still have not had any success.
Any help or direction would be great.
