Hello,

My dial-up internet connection gets disconnected every few hours. I changed
ISPs but it's still happening. In the Options tab of the properties of the
connection, the "Idle time before hanging up" it is "never." (Win 2000
Server sp4).

We also have another PC running Win 2000 Prof on a separate telephone line
and the line drops as well.

Any help?

Erik

Incoming calls, and you have Call Waiting beeps enabled? They are

It is on a dedicated phone line. No calls are coming in and no call waiting.
The line drops occurring every 6 hours or so.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Most ISP's will do this on a dial-up connection on their end.
