Howdy!
I want to install a third party firewall on my Windows XP computer. I am
told that I should uninstall any firewall that is already running on my
computer before installing the new firewall software. Do I need to do a
complete uninstall or can I simply disable my Win XP ICF already running on
my computer. If I need to uninstall ICF how do I do this?
Thanks!

I run the XP firewall and a 3rd party firewall (Sygate).
If you don't know how to use the 3rd party firewall, then
I would suggest just sticking with the XP firewall's
default config.

Thanks for the link Carey.
I know how to disable ICF, but I would like to know if disabling is
sufficient before installing the new firewall, or do I have to uninstall ICF
completely. If I have to uninstall the ICF software, how do I do this?

Thanks
Nikki

Nikki,

Disabling the ICF is all you need to do. It does not have to be uninstalled.
