Paul,

My in-laws in India have a similar problem. They were
infected by Blaster. They cleaned it up and applied the
patch. We use Messenger to talk to each other and now it
seems that after about five minutes the converstaion get's
very choppy. It looks like something else is using up all
the bandwith. They don't get disconnected though.

Please let me know if you find anything.

Thanks.

I would like to study this case. any error? also check the event view for
any errors.

Paul,

We need to clarify the issue. do you have this issue after you connect to
the internet only or after connecting to the internet and then establishing
vpn? if it is vpn issue, check the quotation below. If you connect to the
internet without establishing vpn and get the disconnection, that may be
other issue. re-post this issue because I may not check any posts past 3 or
5 days and you may get more help from others.

quoted form http://www25.brinkster.com/ChicagoTech
VPN XP Client Disconnects After One Minute
SYMPTOMS: After you install SP1 for XP, your computer may drop VPN
connections after about 55 seconds. This behavior may occur if ICS/ICF is
enabled.
RESOLUTION: 1) disable ICS. 2) disable ICF. 3) contact Microsoft Product
Support Services to obtain the fix.
