Internet Connection fails afer about 60 mins

As I say - Running 5536. Downloading a large file the connection fails
almost to a beat after about an hour. This does not happen on my XP setup on
the same connection, so it seems to be a default thing. Anybody got an idea
please ?
 
I've been running Pre-RC1 for a few days now, including large (1+ gig)
downloads and have had 0 issues with disruptions in connectivity.

What NIC are you using? Like what does Windows detect it as? Have you tried
resetting it after using the diagnose feature?

Sorry Cyberwolf, not sure I understand but for what it's worth:
-I am using a Linksys WUSB54G adapter
-What does Windows detect it as ? a bit over my head
- Reset it after using the diagnose feature ? Again after the connection
drops, the diagnostic tool indicates low wireless strength. So I reboot and
everything is hunk dory for about an hour and down we go again.
I am no geek in this area and try to get by with the kindness of strangers.
If you could simplify it a bit, maybe I could understand. Thanks
