internet connection error

ok guys now am really bugged!!!
am having this problem when trying to create interrnet connection to my isp
where at the end of the new internet connection wizard when i press finish i
get this stupid msg: "can not create new dial-up connection for you intetnet
service provider try creating new dial-up....from my computer"
i really dont know what else to do i have tried everything,scanning for
virus(says no virus),renaming RASPHONE,formatting,so far i have formatted my
pc 4 times n each time got new copy of server or prof but this msg appears in
both,i installed xp the msg did not appear but internet conn didn't work.well
before all this everything was working perfectly untill i felt i got a virus
when i was online(i was running 2000 advnced server ) after that i formatted
my pc and then till today am receiving the above msg when trying to create
internet conn.during each formatting i repartitioned the disk....dont know
how to solve this weired problem....plz help
 
Can you let me know the exact error string which you are seeing?
Moreover, what do you mean by 'renaming "rasphone"'? In case of xp, where
connection was created successfully, you said that internet connection didnt
work well. What was the error you encountered?
