Internet connection closes when surfing.

Merry Christmas Folks.



I can log onto sites with speed and ease. When I close a link after browsing
IE6 closes completely.

For example, if I follow a link from my home page to read an article when I
close the page (back button not available) I return to XP rather than my
homepage. I then have to re open explorer, if I then visit other sites I
meet with the same problem.



Any ideas folks?

Hi,
Are you using "Open in a new window?" Are you saying that, when you have two
windows open, closing the child IE window also closes the parent window?

Thank you for your prompt help.

I think that's exactly what I mean! I will remember the terminology for any
future use.

However, I've rum "Regmech" on my system, put it all to bed and then
restarted. All seems to be well at the moment.
hopefully it will stay that way.

Any tips on what to do next ... in the event of would be greatly appreciated
though.
