I have 8 XP Pro clients connected to a Win2K Server
running active directory and internet thru DSL. Is there a
simple way to restrict internet access to a selected few
users?

That is difficult to do on a per user basis. I noticed that there are nat/routers
available these days that can store user names/passwords to control internet access.
ISA firewall/proxy could do that but is not cheap or easy to set up. If you can live
with machine restricted access, you can configure your firewall [or use ipsec
filtering] to allow access to only those internal ip addresses that you want. It is
possible to use Group policy to configure a bogus proxy server for users, but that
will only restrict access via Internet Explorer. --- Steve
