I have two computers a desktop (Win2K) and a laptop (WinXP
home)that are connected behind a cable modem and a
wireless router.
Both have access to the internet and both computers
showup on "My Network Places"
Problem:
I can't share files or print through my desktop to my
shared printer.
I tried to work with Sony tech support and they
determined that the net logon would not start.

I am not sure that this will fix my problem but it is the
only place I have to start. Any one's help, or direction
to seek help, would be greatly appreciated

When you say you can't share files, does this mean you can't create the share or you can't connect to the share? What errors, if
any, do you get? If you go to Start>Run \\machinesname\sharename does this connect? Make sure both machines have
Netbios over TCP/IP enabled, do not the use DHCP option for Netbios. Make sure that neither of the machines have firewall
software enabled.

Thank you,
Mike Johnston
