Susan: or anyone else. How do I do this. I have my
grandson moving in and want to set up a different user for
him but I can't seem to give him internet access on his
user name.

Thanks for any help

Create a new, full adminstrative account for your grandson. Then, goto
Internet Explorer. Click Tools, then internet options and add a internet
account (do you mean a 56k dial up, if so you can copy the settings over
from your user settings or use the disk that your ISP gave you). Now, set
this as the default account. You can also make these changes under 'Network
Connections' in the control panel. Then if you wish (you probably will do)
go into User Accounts in the control panel and change your grandson to a
limited account.

Thanks R I think I got it working now?

Well I thought I had this working and I was wrong. So what happens is I get
everyone able to access the internet via there own user and then when I turn
the computer off it seems to forget or something because the next time they
get that stupid message saying that the program is going to shut down. I am
on cable so there is no problem with actually being on the internet.
Any new ideas would be appreciated.

Judy
