Internet access in a LAN

We are using a LAN of 45 Computers. Most using Windows XP as OS and few
Windows 2000. and we have a Broad Band Internet Connection in a Host Computer
(Windows XP). And all other computers in this LAN now accessing internet.
My question is that ... we need only a few computers can access Internet
while maintaining this LAN ( All Computers can communicate locally but few
computers can access Internet)
 
You may have many options (see below link). In your case, you may create
logon batch file to change the proxy settings and give a fake IP address. By
the way, if I had over 10 computer, I might buy a server.

The easiest way is to get an enhanced Internet router where you can
filter out which PCs can access the Internet and which can not.
