Interner Explorer / GPF in AGP Driver (R3DMINI.DRV)

I am experiencing a general protection fault when
attempting to launch IE 6.0. The fault is caused in
R3DMINI.DRV, which is the driver for my display. I was
running the 98 OS with Starfighter AGP Release 0229. This
combination worked until I downloaded and applied the most
recent patch for IE 6.0. I have since uninstalled the
patch, uninstalled and reinstalled IE 6.0 and also updated
the driver to the most recent version I could find at
Drivers.com. After each one of these steps, use of IE was
attempted to no avail. None of these steps has rectified
the situations. Any suggestions?!? Thanks...
