Internal USB connection

I'm considering installing a USB drive via a Vipower mobile rack, which uses
a series B USB connector on the back. I'd like to connect this to one of
the F_USB (front USB) connectors on my Gigabyte GA-8KNXP mobo, but can't
locate a cable.
I assume this can be done, and it makes more sense than running a USB cable
from the internal Series B connector on the back of the mobile rack to an
exterior Series A connector outside the case.

I have performed a relatively quick search of resources and could not find a
5 pin MB connector to B male connector. They may be out there but I
couldn't find one. The workaround would be to use a 5 pin MB to A-female.
Remove the backplane connector and then use a short A-male to B-male cable
to connect to your hard drive.

Found a connector here

and a 3 foot cable here (didn't look for a shorter A-B cable)

I would consider buying another USB add-in card. Some models come with an
internal USB A port and other also come with Firewire ports.

The only place I would think of locating the F_USB cable is directly from
Gigabyte. I do not know if they would be helpful but they made the
motherboard.

Y.

I checked Gigabyte's web site and they did not show any available. A call
or email to them might bring better results.
