Is there a small freeware program for the internal speaker use with
Winxp sp2? I used to have one for win95 programs.

No. The internal speaker is only used for system beeps.

(In Win95 you could play sound through the system speaker.)

Thanks.
Some upgrade from Winme to Winxp - I lost more than I got :'(

Free, yes; Small, no. If you install Open Object REXX then I can send
you an incredibly simple (one line!) program that will generate a beep
of any frequency/duration. You could even have a copy of my masterpiece
- a program that plays "The Girl from Ipanema".

Here's the beep program:

/* Beep */
Call beep word(arg(1),1),word(arg(1),2)

Thanks.

What type of speaker do you have? Most PCs come with a extremely
small (dime size) mono speaker with limited sound range. Some large
OEM PC makers (HP, IBM) can include a reasonable stereo speaker as the
main speaker. This is handled by the PC's sound card and you may
require a driver from the manufacturer, if they deemed it to be made
for XP. (You PC might not have been "tested" or "supported" for XP.)
