Trying to install .netFramework 1.1 and get this error message. Does anyone know what this means and what the solution
is?

I fixed the problem...had to delete(or rename) mscoree.dll in System32.

Deleting it is ok, but there may result in future problems if you had a
newer version of .NET Framework installed before you removed it. Here are

I fixed the problem...had to delete(or rename) mscoree.dll in System32.

Worked for me in W2K after I cancelled the .Net install in the middle.
