Internal Domain Name

My current internal domain name is the same as my external
domain name and I wanted to know what steps to take to
change my Active Directory domain name.

Does this require starting over or can the name be simply
changed?

applies to your. Basically it is very difficult/impossible to rename Windows
domain. Windows 2003 domains can be renamed, but this is also not an easy
task and impossible if you have Exchange Server 2000.

Rendom.exe can only be used if you're in W2K3 functional levels on both
domain and forest.
If you have Exhange on the network rendom.exe won't work. And you should
know that renaming a domain is not a
task you should take light upon, even if there is a tool in Windows Server
2003.
