Hi, I have a Razer Diamond back mouse that sometimes doesnt work when XP
first boots, Have to kill the power to the machine and restart and it works
fine. I have tried new uninstalling USB drivers and re-installing, Have tried
the latest drivers for the Mouse. Also my machine is Dual Boot XP home and
64bit XP, In the 64bit windows it works okay no problems at all.
Any ideas.

Hi,
I had a problem with my mouse pointer stopping after a few seconds of my
desktop starting. It was an excellerator problem for me, anyway.

Try right clicking on your desktop, then chose Properties. Click on
Settings, Advanced and then Troubleshoot. Go to the Slide Bar and move it
one click to the left.
Now, go to the Control Panel and double click on the Mouse, click on
Pointer Options then go to Select Pointer Speed. Move Slide Bar two clicks
to the left from Fast.
Back out of there and Control Panel and Reboot. It worked for me. :-)
I hope this helps you!

Just in case anyone else once the answer on this one, the problems is with
the power management for the usb devices, In order to resolve, go to device
manager , then properties for USB devices and take the tick out of allow
computer to use power save on this device.
