Hi all,

After I installed a Linksys WMP54GS wireless NIC in my computer,
windows XP started to show intermittent messages that my the network
cable connect to my other NIC is unplugged. Before installing this new
NIC, I could use the other one without any problems.
So far I didn't change any configuration in my computer, but I now both
NIC are in different subnets

Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection 2:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : vc.shawcable.net
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.100
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.100

Does anybody have any hints about what could be the problem? Any help
is appreciated.

Thanks,

Andre

See if setting a static IP on the Ethernet adapter helps:

IP: 192.168.1.101
SNM: 255.255.255.0
Def Gateway: 192.168.1.1
