intermittant mouse clicking

I have tried different audio cards, and I keep getting this "mouse-click"
noise constantly. This occurs when there is no input activity with my mouse.

It's probably the 'Navigation' sound of the browser. The Sounds app in
Control panel will let you set the navigation sound to 'none'
