Hi
That what I am talking about happened when I installed Service Pack 2 for XP and then Uninstalled it
Before installing of SP2 everything was just fine
Are you sure that when I add this .reg file to the registry it will keep the existing right click properties, because this is importatnt ?

Hi

If you SP1 installed, then you can use that .REG file. If you have SP2
installed you'll have to ask in those News Groups:

The file won't help you. It simply enables right click menus for the stupid who turn it off and can't remember how to reverse. It also does the same for My Computer Properties

David,

A folder asso. reg might help?

I deleted the (default) value here:
HKCR\Folder\shell\open\command

and the Find Target did not work, but folders opened normally.

Because Explorer uses DDE that takes precedence over the command verb (and Drop Targets take precedence over DDE). However DDE doesn't provide select switch thatlectFind Target obviously uses. Looking in shell32 there is a /select partial string.

Thanks David. I'm reminded of a question posted in Nov '03. See:

I wrote a script that did this. I sent a copy to Kelly but she appears not to have used it (she has a program on her site that does the same). Chkdsk deleted 90% of my files just after I wrote it, for the second time.
