Interesting LCD problem Help needed

I have a new CMV CT-520D monitor. When I connect it to my old Duron
1200 MSI M/B with on board video, I get no display. If I plug it into
my main PC it works fine. If I plug my old 17" monitor into the duron
PC it works fine - I'm confused and its too early on a Sunday to think
straight :)
Can anyone out there suggest what may be wrong?

Refresh rate on the old system?
