Interactual player/WinDVD

I am having trouble getting my WinDVD version 3 to play a
DVD. I also HAD interactual player and tried to play the
DVD that way and an error in one of the files popped up.
As I was trying to trouble shoot, I inadvertently deleted
Interactual. How can I fix this problem without spending
too much money and not messing up my computer more...?
If it is not already obvious, I need the book "computers
for dummies"... Please Help!!!

Check at www.intervideo.com (makers of WinDVD) that you do not need a
update... WinDVD is now at v5.0
