interactive button oddity

Sorry - another question - depseration before going online...

When I preview some of my pages on the browser a couple of the interactive
buttons - on mouseover - dissappear and are replced by the outline and a
little box with a red X in - the link still works but it doesn't look to good
- it doesn't happen with all the buttons only some and I can't work out what
is different with those with which it happens - any suggestions?

Make sure the images actually exist, and make sure the path to them is
correct.
It will take some looking around in code view, comparing the ones that work
with the ones that don't.
