Intellitype not working properly, no Volume control

Hi there,

Vista Home Premium with MS Natural Wireless Keyboard with Intellitype 6.1
all of a sudden my top keys stopped working My Docs, My Pics etc but I think
the Volume buttons worked so uninstalled Intellitype 6.1 and reinstalled 6.1
all worked well except the Volume buttons didn't work.

So uninstalled 6.1 installed 6.2 still all buttons bar the Volume ones work.
Any thoughts on how I might fix this?

Hi Tim,

I too have this problemwith a MS wireless keboard. Link below is to
an old thread but worth a look:

However, I tried the fix and it did not work completely for me. The
'HID Input Service' is definitely the culprit as I can:

get all buttons, except the volume controls to work

or

get only the volume controls to working,

just by starting and stopping the HID service.

To get the HID Service to work I needed to alter entries in the
registry as described in the link above.

Haven't fully solved this yet. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
