Are there any versions of Microsoft mouse or keyboard software that can be
installed under Vista. The ones I have tried refuse to install because it
doesn't see Windows XP or 2000 installed on my computer. I have a Internet
Keyboard Pro and a Wheel Mouse Optical USB.

I was using 5.5 while running the CPP 5384, but in newer builds they die. I
do not remember if I had to use compatibility mode...

Of course it's a damn shame that MS doesn't have beta Intellimouse/type
software ready for us to beta test right now. You would think they could
support their own products...

fully agree I can only use my mouse in basic mode can't use the useful side
button to go back on page etc I have a silly keyboard and it is more
functional than one which needs the drivers atm we will have to wait for the
new Vista keyboards and even a Vista mouse if there is one ;)

Did you follow the link on the post to install the current Intellimouse,
Intellipoint software?
IT worked fine for me yesterday on x64

I saw this info when I first installed Vista but lost it thanks for the link
again.
My mouse is identified when I installed the driver but still doesn't give me
the options to configure the side button but now I have the info link back
hopefully it will work for me this time, thanks.

:( tried everything I could but setup could not continue. I found the folder
but the oemsetup file didn't even get to the folder for me to copy the ini
files.
I was hoping when I saw the setup screen everything was working but when it
came to selcte your mouse - there was nothing but a picture the 'next' button
was not available to me just Back or cancel.
Think I will have to wait for my side button to work heopfully with RC1.

I am not sure what you mean by this "but the oemsetup file didn't even get
to the folder for me to copy the ini files."
Sorry it is not working for you...
