I have been using IntelliMouse for some time and have
been able to use the wheel to move the whole page up and
down. However since re-installing windows and all the
latest updates the wheel only works in certain
programmes. Other times when you scroll the wheel the
page moves up and down in a wavey kinda motion instead of
just sliding up and down as before. I have installed the
latest software 5 for it but no difference.

Any ideas please

People have suggested that version 5 of the software is "broken" and a lot
of option have been remove. Try to find a version 4 of the software and the
mouse should work as it did before.

I think you have Smooth Scroll set. The comment about v 4.1 of
Intellimouse is good also.
