Intelligent toolbar - how do I disable it?

The "Intelligent Toolbar" keeps coming up each time I
bring up Internet Explorer 6.
I can disable it for the session, but it just comes back
again next time.
There must be a way of disabling it altogether. I don`t
know how it got there in the first place.
Any help would be much appreciated.

disable and remove this type of thing.
