I have a faulty ms explorer mouse yet again, however my
PID isn't working to attempt for offical ms assistance,
what do I do??

You say you have a faulty mouse AGAIN. That implies that
you had a mouse and exchanged it or bought another because
of a problem. Exactly what is the problem with the mouse ?
Is it the same problem that you had with the previous
mouse ? If so, the odds are that it is not the mouse that
is at fault. Please explain . . . what interface does it
use (USB I assume but one HATEs to assume), is it
wireless, does it work on another computer, etc.

Please post back . . .

Mouse wheel, I had this mouse originally when it came out
with the big buttons, it then had a mouse wheel problem
after some time, which was a hardware fault, it just
didn't respond on any PC with the same conditions. I
searched out help though the product ID stages etc. and
they sent a new mouse out to me.

This new one being the one I have now is the InteliMouse
Explorer 3.0 and I use it via USB. The wheel works but has
become to stiff and too difficult to use, I could probably
take it apart and try and sort it out, however I dare not
do this in case of breaking the warranty on it in some
way. So if my product ID worked I was going to ask for
official advice from Microsoft once again.
Other than that its fine but it makes it hard to use since
the mouse 3 button is pressed every time I scroll up/down.

My friend went though problems also with this mouse
originally, he also now has a 3.0 [same mouse] with no
problems currently, but he did end up purchasing the mouse
once again more recently, his ID key is also not working,
we tried it just to see if it was the website. Any
suggestions??

The answer to your "does it work on other computers" will
by sure now be obvious.

Anyway I wasn't on here to arise on the problem of my
mouse, but just to find out where in which I could get a
contact about a faulty product ID Key, so don't treat me
like an average user from one post and "assume" certain
aspects that are false. However thankyou for bring up and
allowing me to explain the matter further, sorry if the
wrong end of the stick on the problem I have was
received. Just a PID problem that needs sorting really,
to enable me to get MS technical support.
