Anyone know what this device could be? Whenever I logon I get a message asking
me for drivers for an 'Unknown Device on Intel(R) 82801EB LPC Interface Controller
- 24D0

Hi Tom,

I too am getting this message too and can't seem to find a driver to fix it.
I have an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard. Is yours the same?
Cheers
Ian

Hello Ian,

I am using a GigaByte GA-8IPE1000-G board witht the Intel 865PE Chipset.

greetings!
same problem here on my pc! sys spec:
PIV 2,4 Ghz
M/B: ASRock P4I65Pe
1 GB RAM (single mode)
80GB HD
beside mainboard nothing but logitech mouse and keyboard plugged in.

checked all CDs ive got here and downloaded the latest drivers but no
solution can be found.. also it seems this missing driver is causing
occationally system failures (no input signal, system lock up, unwanted
system restart/shutdown)

I'm getting the same results. It's something to do with the Intel 865PE
chipset I think.... I have a DFI 865PE-TAG M.B. I'm stumped...

Make sure the SMBus Controller is properly enumerated. You may
want to download and install the latest Intel Chipset Driver package.

I'm not even sure what "enumerated" means, but I have already trien the
latest from Intel. Still no luck. I'm going to try a few more things and see
If I can do anything on my own. I'm also having issues with my AC'97 audio
device, (CMedia), which the driver that Microsoft update issued me rendered
it inoperative as well. Hopefully I'll return with good news... If I don't,
it means the worst. Wish me luck!

Hi,

I tried downloading and installing the latest Intel Chipset Driver Package
but no change. How might I "Make sure the SMBus Controller is properly
enumerated."?

Cheers
Ian M
