Hi,
I'm looking at purchasing an Intel Pentium 4 630 3 Ghz for someone's
computer I am building. Upon reading reviews on Ebuyer.com it became
apparent that many people referred to it'S 64-bit capabilities. Is this
a 64bit processor? And if so will it work with a standard copy of XP?

Thanks
Adam

Indicates it is 64-bit. Not a real good performer, though if what
they say holds true.
You can use 32-bit software on it, and probably should stick with
32-bit windows especially since older hardware won't likely get
drivers for 64-bit windows any time soon if ever.

I built a system with this to replace a P4 2.4Gig 478 socket. The 630 dual
core W/HT is much nicer and runs all SW as older PC just much faster. 800
MHz FSB with DDR2 Ram a worthwhile upgrade.

Only the 8xx and 9xx series are dualcore...
