Intel Matrix RAID vs 3ware 8006-2

Hello,

I'm going to be upgrading my desktop PC and have a question about RAID. I
currently have a RAID-1 using two SATA drives on a 3ware 8006-2
controller. I'm going to be upgrading to an Intel Motherboard using the
945 chipset that features the Intel Matrix RAID built in.

Does anyone have a comparison between these two? Should I stick with the
3ware card, or will I get better performance with the new motherboard
RAID?

Thanks!

Which motherboard model you are getting?

Chipset RAID is nice because it doesn't touch the PCI bus, leaving more
for... whatever it is people put on ther PCI bus these days now that
network cards and video cards aren't on it.
