Totally fed up of trying to install VISTA now - its a common problem
that people with a certain Intel SATA controller have had trouble
installing Vista.
According to my mobo manufacturer (Asrock) the Vista installer should
recognise the SATA drivers automaticlaly but it doesnt.
Intel do not have Vista compatible drivers (only an EXE - which doesn't
work - even if U save the files to floppy after extraction)
So anyone know when Intel will be releasing SATA VISTA drivers for one
of their most recent chips?
I have tried setting my SATA as IDE in the BIOS but that hasn't helped.
When I try to install VISTA the first screen I get asks me to install a
driver - it doesn't say what for - this IS for the HDD right? (this is
even before it asks for a key or anything)
I have burnt multiple disc from multiple downlaods so I am sure its not
the DVD that is faulty.
