I have windows 2000 and have recently installed Intel Easy
PC Camera on my PC, but it does not take snapshots.
Instead I get a message that I don't have enough bandwidth.
The camera requires 70% of bandwidth
The system reserves 14%
The IDSL modem requires 19%
I've tried contacting Intel, but they have discontinued
production of this model and have no more on-line support.
My question:
Can anybody help me reduce the bandwidth requirements of
the Intel Camera, so that it may work with the modem
installed. I've tried using it with the modem
disconnected, but that is such a cumbersome way of doing
things.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is generally not a way to reduce bandwidth of a device. If you
have another USB port then plug it in there. Otherwise you will have to
swap devices. If you don't have another port you can buy a 3 or 4 port
USB card for $25 or less.
