I will be buying a Retail Intel CPU, and the vendor only gives 7 days to
exchange, (it doesn't say from when, but another thing says from invoice, so
I will assume it isn't from receipt), which works out to anywhere form 1-4
days, in reality, (depending on transit time and passing a weekend or not.)
I am an experienced PC builder, so, I can get this
CPU/RAM/Board/VideoCard/PSU installed in time to test it.
But, I do have a relative in poor health living here, and it is possible
that I don't
test in time or the CPU fails in a few days.
So, I was wondering what Intel's warranty policy is. (Yes, I checked Intel's
site and searched Google and Google Groups, and I don't find any recent
info.)
I wonder if anybody has any links to this info., specifically, if they
provide *Advance Replacements*, so I could test my other parts in time for
their 30 day (really 24-27 day) warranties. If not, what would be the total
time lost? (I guess, where it is sent to, would be a factor.)
