Hi folks,

When XP comes out of Hibernate mode with Intel Application Accelerator
installed, I get a blue screen error before it gets to the desktop screen,
and the driver causing it is part of the IAA program. After uninstalling
IAA, the error goes away.

I downloaded the latest version of IAA and it still happens (I did uninstall
the other version first, but I think that may actually have been the latest
version anyway).

Firstly, do I really need IAA and if so, what can I do about the crash?

I have Windows XP Home Edition with SP1, Asus P4PE Mobo (Intel 845 Chipset).
All drivers etc. are up to date.

Thanks,
Geoff.

I had the same problem and lost important data that had been
hibernating. I am uninstalling IAA now! (XP Home edition, Compaq
Presario 2.6g Celeron, Intel(R) 82801DB LPC Interface Controller)

IAA is not required under XP, UNLESS you're using a RAID configuration via
the ICH5R north bridge [and 865/875 chipset motherboard].

XP does HD DMA well, unlike W98 where the IAA really helped a lot.
