I love my printer. Worked great with my athlon Motherboard and Windows
xp professional. Motherboard died and computer tech said Intel was better so
I let him install Intel P4 M800Pro-M748 -also has Celeron D on invoice. I'm
writing because I'm not getting much help from him or Windows or Intel, etc.
Immediately my Epson Stylus Color 600 printer (which worked with no
problems with my Amd motherboard) started causing popups wanting a file from
Windows XP CD - not there but was on my C drive so I'd tell it to go there -
ok until next time. FInally printer quit printing unless I could turn it on
at just the right time while rebooting.
Within a month my Norton Anti-virus poped up saying my 'trial' was about
up. I'm still going back & forth with them - was renewed online in May.
I bought another printer then started having problems with it but was
just told to uninstall all printer info - from register also. then reinstall.
which I'll do.
I would still like to use my 600 printer & use up the ink I have. Any
thoughts. Oh yeah, one file the system kept wanting that was not on the
Windows xp cd was epnhtx16.dll - which was on my harddrive but I
reinstalled it but still doesn't work. I want my Amd motherboard back........
......................
Any ideas, thoughts, Help, etc. Thanks.

Do a clean OS install with retail versions of your software and OS.

FWIW, the only Intel to get is the Core2Duo, or maybe the low power P4M.
If the choice was a Celeron, I'd go to AMD instead. JMO.

Download the needed file here, http://dll-ocx.com/edll.htm

Thank you Gary. I'll give this a try. And I've made a note on your
suggestions for a motherboard. Next time, I'll decide what motherboard to be
installed. Again thanks.

what /which software. I have already reinstalled the epnhtx16.dll from a
site online & that didn't work - at least the old printer still doesn't work.
Could the .dll file I downloaded be bad?? I'll search at this site plus I'll
put this site in my favorites for future use. Any other ideas?? (You wanna
buy my motherboard!) I've never built a computer but I have installed a new
drive for a peripheral plus I've installed harddrives plus fhave recovered
data that 'computer guys' couldn't recover but there is so much more that
I've not done. So I need all the help I can get. Thank you.

I know enough to mess things up so - To make a clean OS install, I need to
uninstall Windows from safe mode, reboot then reinstall from safe mode?? Or
are the instructions listed somewhere??? Please advise. Thanks,

It's not your motherboard, but your OS, which at this point in time
you seem to have no clue how to fix.
For the love of God, go find a handy teenager and spend $20 bucks for
him to fix it for you.
