Are there any hacked drivers (equivilents, say of the Omega drivers for
Nvidia and ATI) for the 810e?

If you look in the back of this document, you'll see that, like
many GPUs, the output format is infinitely programmable.
For example, PDF page 504 shows how to program the CR's to
get 1280x1024 @ 85Hz.

Matrox has a tweaker program for fiddling this stuff. VESA.org
has a spreadsheet called GTF_V1R1.xls for handling arbitrary
resolutions. The problem is not the technology, it is the
user interface.
I think I read a description the other day, of setting this
up on an Nvidia or ATI card, and all you needed to know, was
the desired resolution. The software worked out the values
needed for the registers.
If Intel has a tech support, perhaps you can contact them
by phone or email, and see if the control panel for the
810 has some option for custom resolution. Tell them what
you are trying to do, and see if they are willing to
go "off-road". The thing is, it is easy to say "we are
VESA compliant", and ignore requests for custom
resolutions (less support work to do), but the thing is,
companies that design Intel chipsets into their products,
probably can get a program from Intel for setting this stuff
up.
If it was any other company, this task would be easier. I'm
guessing Intel won't indulge in pleasing customers like the
competition would. So even though your hardware is technically
capable of doing it, it may not be possible to figure out the
recipe.
