Intel 440zx agpset problems

I'm trying to upgrade from Win98 SE to W2k on a PC based
on the Intel 440zx agpset chipset. W2k setup reports that
it has no drivers for the hard disk controller. Intel
reports that it no longer supports the 440zx chipset and
the last drivers posted there don't do the trick. MS says
that the W2K disk "does" contain drivers for the Intell
440 series but setup doesn't seem to believe this. Anyone
have a suggestion?

W2k supports ZX chipset. While in W98, run 'winnt32 /checkupgradeonly' and
get the report. Uninstall any specific software/driver according to the
report.
Do not upgrade, make a clean install.
