Hi,

I am currently working my quotation on Excel say, quotation.xls. Under range
A1:G100 contains my workings and cell G101 is a final figure obtained from
range A1:G100.

I have another document in Words say, quotation.doc and wish to linkup cell
G101 to a particular area of this quotation.doc. Can anyone advice me the
workaround?
Thank you.

What is "Words"? This forum is for questions about Microsoft Word. Is
this the application you're using? If so, what problem do you have
linking the Excel worksheet cell in Word that you need a workaround for?

Hello,

Sorry i mean Microsoft Word. My question is how to perform such linking so
that every everytime cell G101 has a new figure derived from range A1:G100,
it will update Microsoft Word as well.

Thanks a lot.

In Excel, click on cell G101, and press Ctrl+C. Switch to Word, click where
you want to paste the link to cell G101, click on Edit | Paste Special |
Paste link: As: Microsoft Excel worksheet object | OK. In Word, click on
Edit | Links, and set the link to "automatically update".

Note if you want the data to appear within a sentence or paragraph,
rather than in a cell, you can use other formats for pasting your link
such as Formatted, Unformatted, HTML, etc.
