Get the IP working first. And Name Resolution (set the client properties to
your
domain DNS server [set] ONLY, and not to the Internet DNS servers.)

Technically the next step is to "create a computer Account" in Active
Directory but
that can be done within the next step if you are a domain Administrator.

(If you're not an Admin then have a domain Adminstrator create the computer
account
before doing the next step -- sometimes this isn't necessary as a separate
step but it's
the proper way to do it anyway.)

In the System control panel use "Computer Name" tab (or Identity depending
on system)
and the "Change..." button to join the domain. If you haven't created the
computer
account yet, this is where you may need a domain Admin to help.)

Also must be XP Pro. XP home won't do it.

Interesting, I always forget their is such a thing as "XP home".

Is this true even if you try to integrate it like a "Win9x" box?
