Is there a way within Windows to see how much shared memory is actually
being used by an integrated video system? Or does this require a utility of
some sort?

The Intel board I'm working with has dynamic video memory allocation, and
allows me to set max memory usage, but I'm curious how much it's *really*
using.

Easiest way, navigate to System Properties (Rt-click My Computer ->
Properties) and see under "Computer" how much memory Windows "sees".
Subtract that number from the total memory in the system and that's
your number.

It'll look something like this:

512MB installed memory
448MB available memory
= 64MB "shared" memory
