Integrated Backup - Problem with deleted schedules

Dustin

I'm using Windows 2000 and the integrated NTBackup program.

I created a schedule to back up a certain folder on my
local PC to my Win2k SBS server. I realized I made a
mistake in the schedule options, so I deleted the
schedule. I created a new schedule, however, both the old
and the new schedules are running.

I've tried deleting the *.bks and *.bkf files associated
with the old schedule, but it continues to run. I've tried
changing the drive letter. I've tried renaming the local
folder name of the folder I was backing up, but some how
it magically continues to back up. I'm running out of
ideas... is there a registry value somewhere that is still
in effect? I'm almost desperate enough to format this PC
and start from scratch.

Thanks in advance.

Have you opened Scheduled Tasks and deleted it from there?

Of course :) I've even tried going to the "\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
NT\NTBackup\data" directory to delete the *.bks files. I'm
guessing there is a registry value somewhere that needs to
be nuked, but I couldnt find anything relative to the
folders that are being backed up using regedit.exe.

I just tried something new this morning: Left the culprit
folder in place, but deleted its contents and moved them
to a new folder. It's a work-around, but as long as it
doesnt create increasingly large (4+GB) bkf files, i'm
happy. I will try to update on the results tomorrow.
Thanks for the help so far.
