Hello -

Suddenly, and for no appearant reason, windows will not
go into hybernate - This is displayed: "Insufficient
system resources exist to complete the API.".

I have not changed any settings nor using any new
software or doing anything different than I have for
years.

No I find I have to close almost all the windows I am
working on prior to walking away from the computer.

Please advise...
Thanks in advance -
Phillip

When a computer goes into hybernation, it has to remove
everything from RAM and put it onto the hard drive. When
it comes out of hybernation, it takes all that data and
puts it right back into RAM.
It sounds like your computer is running out of hard drive
space.
Make sure your pagefile is at least 1.5X's the size of
your RAM, and that the pagefile isn't fragmented.
If you go to Start / All Programs / Accessories / System
Tools and run Disk Cleanup, it should fix most of the
problem.
Then afterwards you should open a CMD window and run
CHKDSK /R.
After that defrag.
If it still won't hybernate, you have a hardware driver
problem.
