When I try to burn a music CD or burn pictures on to a CD, I often get the message "insufficient free space on the target". In all cases, the amount of data I'm trying to record is well within the capacity of the blank CD. Does anyone know what may be causing this and how to resolve it?

Is it possible you do not have enough free spaced on the hard drive. the
way windows burns cds is it has 100mb of files that you have picked to burn.
It then puts all the files in another place. then it sorts then by burn
order in another placed then burns the CD. That is how I understand it. So a
500Mb CD will take 1 Gb of free disk space!
