converting the Powerpoint 97 document to Adobe PDF file writer? What
causes this. My hard drive has several gigs of space left, so why is
this error occurring? Thanks.

There are a lot of different ways of creating PDFs.

What software (and version) are you using to create your PDF and what exact
steps do you use with it?

If you mean Adobe's "PDFWriter" I'd suggest that you not use it with
PowerPoint. Use Distiller instead. You probably have a printer driver called
Distiller Assistant or Acrobat Distiller. Try that.
