Instant Screensaver...How?

When I ran Win95, 98, 98SE, ME, etc., I was able to
password protect the screensaver (in dislpay control
panel, the usual way), then make a shortcut to the
screensaver .scr file and when clicked, the screensaver
would activate.

Ever since XP, when I do this, the shortcut to the .scr
file is made, but when I click it, the screensaver
activates immediately, just like before, only it does not
password protect the screensaver...Any ideas?

Try osa.exe (it comes with office) with the -S flag, like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE" -s

You van always click the Windows Key and "L" at the same time.
