I have searched and searched for a solution to this for XP Home Edition but
I am yet to find one.
As XP Home does not have access to the Local Security Policy I can not
change the 'Impersonate a client after authentication' setting and thus can
not install certain programs due to the SP2 changes that altered the default
value of this.
I tried installing the latest SP3 trial but it did not help.
Is there a way to alter the registry directly or some other work around so
that I can actually install many the programs that I would like to have on my
computer but cant because of the fact that when I purchased it, they
recommended XP Home Edition?
