Installing XP professional over XP Home edition

I have XP Home, and recently got a copy of Professional.
I've been debating whether to install it.

Is there anything special I need to do? What are the pros
and cons for each operating system.

I mean, will there be games or software that will no
longer run under the Professional edition? Will I need
new critical drivers?

Thanks

If you have no idea what Windows XP Pro is, I seriously doubt
you'll derive any benefit after installing it. It is virtually the same
operating system as XP home with additional features you'll
probably never use.

Works the same as Home.
Pro is a Superset of Home.

If you upgrade (you will need the Retail Upgrade or Retail Full version to
do this, OEM copies do not upgrade, they replace.) - be sure to not connect
to the Internet before turning on your firewall, then go to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ on your first connection and
download/install all critical updates.
