I am doing a "clean install" of XP Pro on a 20gig hard
drive but when it creates the primary partition, the max
is 2008mb.(2gig) It won't let me partition the complete
drive.
How can I overcome this and have full use of the drive?
Thanks.

Try using FDisk or Partition Magic to completely remove all partitions from
the hard disk, then boot from the CD and try again.
Be warned that any existing data you have on the disk will be deleted, so
back up anything you need.

What are you using to create the partitions? If using a Win98 boot
disk, answer yes to the prompt about using LBA.

I am using the XP install CD. I had Win98 on the system
and it recognizes all 20 gig but as soon as I try to
install XP it only sees 2 gig. Even when I do an update.

Using the WinXP CD, delete the existing partitions and rebuild them.

NOTE: If GoBack is involved with the Win98 setup, it creates a
mini-mbr and that needs to be removed from the drive.
